Avoid Third Party Payment Options
Clay County Electric members have many options, when it comes time to paying their bill. We strongly recommend avoiding using third party vendors to make payments.
Unfortunately, a link to these third-party vendors site comes up when member searches for the Clay County Electric website. If the member is not careful to select our actual website, they could easily select a third-party payment site.
Several Clay County Electric members have utilized third-party vendors to make their payment. Some of these members received disconnect notices and incurred late charges due to the cooperative not receiving these payments in a timely manner. While these third-party vendors may be legitimate companies, Clay County Electric Cooperative has not solicited or partnered with these companies to take payments for our members.
To ensure that you are not using a third-party vendor, go directly to our website, www.claycountyelectric.com, and use the “PAY NOW” or the “SMARTHUB” button options on the right side of the page. Other options for paying your electric bill, include automatic bank draft, pay by phone @1-833-890-9213, or pay in person. For more information about automatic bank draft, contact our office.
